Opportunities for Giving

Our fund raising drive, "In Faith We Build For The Future", provided us with a Parish Center. It is a multi-purpose facility with the ability to meet the many and varied pastoral needs of the community. Worship space, offices and eight classrooms make up the "Lukas J. Schmidt, O. Carm. Parish Center.

We have registered a little over 700 households in the new parish. Our religious education program for children has doubled in participation since moving into our new facility. The challenges we face for the future are real. If we listen prayerfully and respond generously to what God is asking of us at this time in our parish history, the Lord's work will flourish in Osprey.

CASH DONATIONS

Donations in any amount are welcomed.

SECURITIES

We welcome a gift of appreciated securities. Because of the capital gains tax savings, some parishioners may find they can give more to the parish by using this method of contribution. Instructions are available from the parish Business Manager.

MEMORIALS

Memorials or living tributes are the shadow of our presence across the ages. Memorials offer a permanent recognition and acknowledgment of love for a living or deceased friend or family member. Parishioners and friends will find this an excellent means of expressing, in a material way, their love for God and His Church, while at the same time assisting substantially in the expansion of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. All memorials and gifts will be given full recognition.

An Appeal for Special Generosity

The magnitude of the challenge we face is cause not for dismay but for special generosity. If you are able to pledge at a level of $25, 000, $50, 000, $100, 000 or even more, we ask you to be leaders in our campaign. In Faith We Build. If your means are more modest, we depend on you, too, for special generosity that will make it possible for us to realize the vision we have set for ourselves.

"Who is a Christian steward? One who:

  • receives God's gifts gratefully,
  • cherishes and tends them in a responsible and accountable manner,
  • shares them in justice and love with others, and
  • returns them with increase to the Lord."
    (National Conference of Catholic Bishops)

No one can tell you to give. All contributions, large and small, are gratefully appreciated.

Above all, your continued prayers and love for our parish community is absolutely necessary as we strive to provide a permanent home for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.

God bless you all.
